Equine Support Services USA teaches equine emergency first aid classes and provides disaster planning and emergency preparedness training. Certification and course materials are provided by Equi-First Aid USA and Equi-Health Canada. We offer all-day, half-day, and children’s classes. Many of our classes qualify for continuing education credits with PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship), EAGALA (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy), and IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants).
Judy Brown is the owner and certified Equi-First Aid USA and Equi-Health Canada trainer at Equine Support Services USA. Having grown up in San Diego, California, Judy learned to ride horses as a child at the popular Rawhide Ranch in Bonsall, touted as America’s best Wild West camping experience for kids. She has trained with Monty Roberts at the Monty Roberts International Learning Center at Flag is Up Farms, and is dedicated to advancing her riding and horsemanship skills by working with talented riders, trainers, and clinicians. Judy has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is also certified through the Fear Free© Veterinary Professional Certification Program for Equines, and through CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). When Judy is not teaching or riding, she volunteers her time at local horse shows and at a nonprofit horse rescue organization.
